Modern life involves too much sitting! Sitting at work, sitting to commute, sitting to eat, watch TV, you get the idea! We asked Samuel Rabizadeh, PT, DPT, CHT for some exercises to fend off the aches and pains caused by spending too much time sitting down and boy did he deliver!
“Here are some great exercises to improve longevity for people who predominantly perform desk jobs.
It is generally advised for them to take rest breaks every 20 minutes to 50 minutes to stand for a few minutes.
Depending on the situation they may need a standing desk and they will need to alternate sitting 20 minutes with standing 20 minutes.
Patients’ report improved sitting tolerance and comfort at work during desk jobs when performing these exercises regularly.”
Download the PDF for yourself, your officemates, your patients and your family! It has photos, detailed instructions and a chart about how often and how many.
SCSR offers a LOT more than desk exercises!
